A BURTON woman will stand trial after pleading not guilty to three counts of benefit fraud.

Hayley Yeo, 29, of Horninglow Road denied the charges at Burton Magistrates' Court. She is alleged to have failed to notify the Department of Work and Pensions that she was living with Stephen Yeo in the same household as husband and wife, knowing that it would affect her benefit entitlement.

Appearing at the Horninglow Street courthouse on Thursday, Yeo indicated a not guilty plea prior to the trial, which will take place in Burton on October 31.
