Tutbury: Emergency crews called to child in weir

EMERGENCY services were called out to a child in the weir in Tutbury.

Two fire engines from Burton on Trent were called out to assist police at the weir in Bridge Street, Tutbury at 6.25pm yesterday along with the water rescue from Tamworth.

A spokesman for Burton Fire Station confirmed they attended the scene but said they were unable to release any further details at present.

Trouble at mill. 3 Police cars, an ambulance and a fire engine at Tutbury Mill, apparently someone's fallen in the weir.

Derbyshire Police helicopter NPAS Ripley attended the scene to assist officers from Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service.
