MOTORISTS have been thanked for their patience after the A38 was closed for several hours after a crash.
A Gilera moped and a silver Peugeot were involved in a crash on the northbound carriageway of the A38 between Branston and Stretton at 5.30pm last night.
The 18-year-old female motorcyclist has been taken to Burton’s Queen’s Hospital with foot and back injuries which are not life-threatening.
The road was reopened at 7.20pm but had caused major tailbacks.
A Staffordshire police spokesman said: “We would like to thank motorists for their patience during this incident.”
