SUPPORTERS of the Royal British Legion and Christian Aid are being invited to raise money for the groups by walking through the National Forest.

The combined charity walk will start from Overseal Baptist Church, in Burton Road, at 9.30am on Saturday.

Walkers can either be sponsored or turn up on the day and make a donation.

There will be three routes to choose from: five miles, 10 miles or a short course suitable for small children, pushchairs and wheelchairs.

The legion supports past and present members of the British armed forces and their families, while Christian Aid helps the world’s poorest people during times of crisis.

Further information is available from Glyn Jackson at the legion by calling 07732 346631 or emailing secretary.swadlincote.rbl@gmail.com

Details are also available from Ray Thompson at Christian Aid by calling 01283 535463 or emailing rayandarlene@talktalk.net
