OUR pet of the week is three-year-old Murphy.

Murphy is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier that was originally taken into the RSPCA in Burton by an inspector.

A spokesman from the centre said: “We re-homed him, and within a couple of weeks he was returned to us, after his owners felt it wasn’t working out.

“Murphy is a fabulous dog. He is a well trained, well mannered and lovely tempered boy.

“He gets on with other dogs, could easily live with others, and perhaps cats.

“ Murphy would make an ideal first time dog.”

More information on arranging an appointment to see Murphy and the many other animals in need of new homes at the RPSCA centre can be found at rspca-burtonbranch.org.uk or by calling 01283 569165.
