West Midlands Ambulance Service launch campaign to lower the number of road accidents

AFTER attending more than 16,000 road traffic collisions last year, West Midlands Ambulance Service is urging people to take extra precaution this summer.

The warning comes as part of a four-week campaign which will give online safety advice.

A spokesman for the service said: "We want the public to avoid becoming a patient in one of our ambulances. Whether you choose a car, bicycle, or your own two feet to get around, use common sense to avoid becoming a statistic."
