A NEW course which will help people to get started in the music industry will launch at a Derbyshire venue this month.
The brand new course, entitled ‘Entry to the Music Industry’, is ideal for any new and emerging businesses in the music sector and will be taking place at QUAD in Derby.
It includes the basic steps to setting up a business by developing and understanding of the modern music industry.
John Hart, one of the music business training directors, said “The importance of supportive networks and training opportunities cannot be underestimated for the modern music business.
“The huge changes in the music industry mean that, across the sector, routes to market are varied and realistic from a local base.

“Having been fortunate to play and work internationally I’m really happy to be able to put something back into the music industry.”
The twelve week course will be delivered by Music Business Training, who have worked with the likes of The Clash, Justin Hawkins (The Darkness), Keane, Mel C, Owl City, and The Ting Tings.
The course is fully accredited and on successful completion learner will gain a certificate in ‘Managing a Music Business Enterprise’.
