EVER wondered what cats get up to when people are not around?
Now is the perfect chance to find out as Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s classic Cats hits Stoke’s Regent Theatre until tomorrow and is one not to miss.
It is easy to see why it is one of the longest running musicals on Broadway and the West End with its high energy from beginning to end and the fact it is so unique in itself – it is not often our feline friends take to the stage.
Its popularity was evident by the fact there were very few empty seats – and this was on a Monday night.
The show itself was brilliant with the ‘cats’ regularly stepping off the stage to make people in the audience feel more than a little uncomfortable which was very entertaining (have to say I was glad not to be in an aisle seat).
The actors were also never out of character, even when they weren’t under the spotlight you could see them snuggling up to each other as only cats do.
The singing and dancing alone was definitely worth going to see as it was truly professional and the cast was amazingly talented.
Although it was probably the strangest show I have seen it is definitely worth a trip to see.
