A SOUTH Derbyshire farm looks set to be given the go-ahead to sell alcohol in its shop after reaching an agreement with trading standards officials.
Betty's Farm, in Willington, which produces free-range eggs and attracts visitors from across the region, wants to add alcohol to its growing shop, which stocks a range of food products.
Bosses from Derbyshire County Council's trading standards department had originally raised concerns that alcohol could be served to youths.
However, management at Betty's Farm have now reassured officers that anyone who is thought to be under the age of 25 will be asked to produce ID.
A final decision on the application is set to be made by South Derbyshire District Council's licensing committee on September 1.
