THE wet and windy weather will see no let up in Burton over the next few days.
High winds and rains have been hitting the region this week, and according to experts things will get worse come the weekend.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said more rain was expected today, followed by winds of between 40 and 50 miles per hour on Saturday.
He said: “It will still be pretty wet into Friday but will then ease. In the early part of the evening the wind will pick up and there will be heavy rain on Saturday and winds will reach up to 50 miles per hour. They will remain high on Sunday.
“There will then be another bout of heavy rain coming through.”
There are no weather warning in place, unlike other areas of the country which have been put on high alert.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood warning for the River Trent at Willington and Swarkestone.
