AIR cadets in South Derbyshire pulled on their winter warmers as they took part in an annual winter camps.

Fifty cadets and 10 members of staff from the 1211 Swadlincote squadron took part in the event.

It sees the cadets participating in training activities where they are given the opportunity to learn new skills such as patrolling, sentry duty, camouflage and concealment.

Cadet spokesman Matt Leedham said: “One of the main purposes of this annual event is for the cadets to learn a new set of team skills, develop teamwork amongst peers and promote independence, but above all to have fun.”
