DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays on a major route in South Derbyshire over the next few weeks as roadworks begin.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place on the A444 from tomorrow at the roundabout near Linton Heath.
BT will be carrying out work in the area as it continues to improve broadband speeds in the region.
The work is being described by the telecoms giant as 'high impact', meaning motorists should prepare for delays.
It is expected to have an impact in the area for more than a week, with the work scheduled to be completed by Wednesday, September 4.
A BT spokesman said: "Multiway lights are required to enable safe access to BT chambers for the BDUK (broadband delivery UK) fibre rollout project."
