A CHARITY which supports some of the most vulnerable and deprived people in Burton has received a £200 donation from a global food company.
The Burton branch of the YMCA received the donation from Mars Global - the firm behind the famous chocolate bar.
According to the charity’s Twitter account, the donation matched the amount the child of an employee of the firm raised in the YMCA’s annual sleepout in November.
The event which took place at the Pirelli Stadium has raised more than £25,000.
The charity’s chief executive has previously told the Mail the money will be put towards supporting those who use its Reconnect Centre, in James Street.
