BURTON RFC are appealing for rugby fans to come and support the club’s under-18 side after they reached the last eight of the National Colts Cup

Burton Knights will turn out at Peel Croft on Saturday, March 15, when they face Carlisle, kick-off 3pm.

They earned their place in the quarter-finals with a superb 33-25 victory over Old Brodleians at the weekend.

Burton’s next generation are excited at a rare chance to play at Peel Croft.

Club academy boss George Davies said: “We tend to play a lot of games at Shobnall, especially with the Ox-Hay being a swimming pool a lot of the time!

“The lads were asked if they wanted to play on the Croft and there was a unanimous ‘yes’.

“We’d just love to get as many people as possible come down to watch.”

The Colts reached the final of the 2009 National Plate – a lesser competition – losing 52-5 to Bedford Blues.
