Watch Tyron, the YouTube signing star

BURTON internet sensation Tyron Whittle has the world - quite literally - at his fingertips.

The performing artist has attracted massive attention on website YouTube for his pop music videos for deaf people.

More than 40,000 web users have viewed his unique interpretation of I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor by The Arctic Monkeys.

Don't Look Back In Anger by Oasis has attracted 20,000 hits, and I Know It's Over by The Smiths has gone 5,000 better.

The 43-year-old has built up a massive repertoire of other hits by bands such as The Verve, The Cure and Coldplay.

Scores of visitors to his YouTube website have described his routine at locations like train stations as 'awesome'.

Although the father-of-four admits he does not use a 'pure version' of British Sign Language, he believes his interpretation is easily understood.

He told The Mail: "It is a bit like a jigsaw. The fewer pieces you have in the box, the quicker you get putting them in place.

"I'm not saying that the signs I use are 'all right', but they make sense to me as I know where I got them from.

"It could be from the television or made up by myself."

The smooth mover started performing his routines after a life-long interest in using movement to communicate and in a bid to impress his former partner.

After learning sign language through a book, and refusing to allow his lack of dance practice to hold him back, his reputation blossomed.

The unemployed ex-roofer has performed at festivals up and down the country, such as Glastonbury, and has been approached by numerous television stations.

In November, 2006, a friend put the songs on YouTube, and Mr Whittle says he has not done 'much else apart from practice' since.

He said: "When I do it I feel so alive."

Mr Whittle, who grew up in Warrington before moving to Swindon, has lived with his friend Christine Fleming, in Mosley Street, Burton, for three months.

The duo are now hoping to form a dance partnership to show the moves are not just a sign of the times.

Mr Whittle's videos can be viewed by visiting uk.youtube.com and searching for 'tyron912'.

Don't see the point in signing words when deaf people would not be able hear music !
