Skipping school lessons

PUPILS at a village school have been 'skipping' lessons - in a good way.

News - Nathaniel Biggs, Alice Sault and Sally Barlow - skipping at St Peter's C of E Primary School, King Street, Yoxall Youngsters at St Peter's C of E Primary School, in King Street, Yoxall, have been learning 'pretzel, butterfly and funky monkey' moves as part of a skipping workshop.

Year 6 pupils were also trained how to teach the energetic sport at an after-school club and are now passing on pearls of wisdom to other students.

Kerry Roberts-Thomas, a key stage one teacher at the primary school, said: "Skipping is a fantastic way to keep fit and the pupils had a whale of a time."
