The Most Promising New Start-Up Business award at this year's Burton Mail Business Awards celebrates a new business or company which has started within the past three years and which has already made a significant impact in its field.

The judges will be looking at all aspects associated with a new business, including innovation, identification of an opportunity and development of a product, strategy and business plan, delivery of the product to market and strategy for growth and further expansion.

The award is a natural fit for the sponsors, Burton and District Chamber of Commerce, which is the largest business network and support organisation in the area, providing a range of services, events and member benefits.

It is part of the Greater Birmingham Chambers group, which collectively has nearly 3,000 members across the West Midlands from all sectors and ranging from single operators to multinational conglomerates.

Chris Plant, director of Burton Chamber, said: "Supporting businesses is what we are all about and we are particularly pleased to sponsor the Most Promising Start-Up award again this year.

"These businesses often don't get the recognition they deserve and yet these unsung heroes deliver many success stories.

"They also provide inspiration to others thinking about setting up their own business and we can’t wait to see the stories that this year's awards throw up.”

Alrewas-based firm RJK Logistics scooped the award last year for being a firm with a difference. You can enter this year's awards here
