POLICE are continuing the investigation into vandal attacks on three hair salons and a post office in Stapenhill after two teenagers were released without charge.

The Hair Lounge, in Main Street, may have to pay £2,000 to replace its windows after stones were hurled through them at the weekend, while Indigo, in St Peter’s Street and Headlines, in Woods Lane also fell victim.

A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, both from Burton, were arrested this week on suspicion of causing criminal damage relating to the Indigo salon, but have now been released without charge.

Police were called to reports of smashed shop windows at 9am in Woods Lane, and at 2.40pm in St Peter’s Street, both on Sunday, and again at 11am on Monday at Stapenhill Post Office, in St Peter’s Street.

Police appealing for witnesses.
