A COUPLE of weeks ago I was raving about the Innergie fast-charging mMini DC10 and the Charge and Sync 3-in-1 USB Cable – I’ve got a ‘thing’ about chargers since I upgraded to an iPhone.
I have been using a portable charger for a year or so now and it seems to be losing its va va voom, so I was really keen to test this one from my new best friend – Innergie.
I am not very good with complicated gadgets and the PocketCell Duo is really simple to set up.
There is a power indicator button and by pressing this it will show how much charge there is in the PocketCell Duo.
There are five blue lights on the power indictor button, each one representing around 20 per cent of power.
Connect the Magic Cable Trio (pictured left) Micro USB tip into the Micro USB input on the PocketCell Duo, then plug the USB connector of the Magic Cable Trio into the USB port of a computer or USB wall adapter and press the power indicator button on the PocketCell Duo.
When charging the LED lights indictor will begin to blink and the charging will begin. This does take quite a while, especially when charging from one light, but so it should. There is a battery bank with a 6,800amH capacity – enough power to charge four smartphones to me and you!
Once the PocketCell Duo was fully charged, I popped it in my handbag until it was needed.
Trust me, it wasn’t long until I was fishing it out of said handbag to connect it to my phone via the Magic Cable Trio.
It isn’t only iPhones which the charger is suitable for, the Magic Cable trio fits a great selection of electronics including iPhones, iPads, iPods, eBooks, Bluetooth headsets, various mobile phones including smartphones, MP3 players, GPS units and digital cameras.
Once the charger was ready, all I needed to do was plug it into my phone with the Magic Cable Trio, press the power indicator button and voilà, it started charging my phone at super-fast speed – certainly as good as plugging it into the mains.
My phone can now be charged wherever I go and because the PocketCell Duo is only around 9cm x 4cm it can be kept discretely in my handbag (or laptop bag), along with the Magic Cable Trio.
Because it has two built-in USB ports, my other half, John (whose phone rarely runs out of juice according to him) can join me in sharing the charge!
And when the PocketCell Duo needs to be recharged, simply plug into a laptop, wall — or even a car charger.
The PocketCell Duo will be available from July, priced £99. For more information about the Innergie range visit the website at www.myinnergie.com
