THE boarding facilities at a South Derbyshire preparatory school have been described as ‘homely’ according to independent school inspectors.
Foremarke Hall, Repton’s preparatory school, revealed that the comments were in a report from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) after a two-and-a-half day visit to the school and analysis of the responses of boarders and parents to pre-inspection questionnaires.
In its summary, the Foremarke Hall report states that it meets all the standards, and goes on to praise many aspects at the school.
Foremarke Hall head teacher Richard Merriman said: “We are delighted that the ISI has found our boarding facilities to meet all the standards for provision, care, welfare, safeguarding, leadership and management.
“The report recognises that our boarders are very well cared for in a homely atmosphere.”
