Traffic has returned to normal around Saxon Street in Stapenhill.
Traffic monitoring website, Inrix has claimed that the earlier traffic issues we told you about on the A444 Stanton Road has now been resolved.
Station Bridge in Burton reopened
Station Bridge in Burton has now reopened after what is believed to be a police incident.
Between the A5121 Borough Road and Curzon Street, Moseley Street was closed for roughly 15 minutes, but has now reopened and traffic has returned to normal.
Pervert caught with more than 1,000 sick child abuse movies and animal porn
A South Derbyshire pervert who admitted he has a sexual interest in children avoided being sent to jail immediately despite being caught with more than 1,000 sick child abuse movies.
Martyn Dunks, of Foss Road, Hilton, had 1,213 indecent films and images stored away on electronic devices, almost half of which were the most serious category A, which would typically show young children in sexual activity with adults.

Traffic monitoring website, Inrix has stated that the temporary traffic lights around Saxon Street is causing delays on the A444 Stanton Road.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service have began their ‘Flames aren’t games’ campaign, to try and deter young people away from dangerously playing with fire, especially through the summer holidays.

A Burton man was left gobsmacked when the ground ‘opened up’ and he fell into a 3ft hole in the middle of a road in the town.
Jason Hair, 46, was walking alng Lincoln Road with his girlfriend Jodie when he felt the ground below him collapse, trapping his leg under the Tarmac.

Roadworks warning for the A38
One to watch out for here. There will be roadworks on the A38 at Clay Mills. They will be on the northbound side when the slip road will be closed between 10pm and 6am from Monday, July 31, to to Sunday, August 6. If you’re travelling late on those days be sure to remember this one, says traffic and travel information website Inrix.
