Flight from East Midlands Airport makes emergency landing
A flight from East Midlands Airport destined for Mallorca had to make an emergency landing in London Gatwick this afternoon.
The 3.55pm flight from East Midlands Airport was diverted to London Gatwick after declaring an emergency over the English Channel.
The Thomson Airways Jet landed safety at the airport.
Traffic easing following accident on A42
Good news for commuters - the traffic is starting to ease after all lanes were reopened following an accident on the A42 southbound at junction 11 for Burton.
