Hunt for people in car after a woman is found dead on the A38 in Derbyshire
Police want to speak to anybody who witnessed a fatal collision on the A38 in Derbyshire last night, Thursday August 3.
Officers from Derbyshire Constabulary were called to a stretch of the southbound carriageway between Ripley and the Coxbench turn-off after reports that there was a body in the road.

Slow traffic on the A453 this afternoon
This afternoon there is some very slow traffic between Junction 14, A453 for Castle Donington and the A453 Ashby Road in Leicestershire.
According to traffic monitoring website, Inrix slow traffic should be expect for those heading back from work this Friday afternoon.

Campaigners to protest Queen's Hospital and Royal Derby merger plan tomorrow
Campaigners will be holding a protest over the potential merger between Burton’s Queen’s hospital and Royal Derby Hospital in the town tomorrow, Saturday, August 5.

Traffic on A50 in Uttoxeter following accident
There have been reports of an accident on the A50 westbound in Uttoxeter at the racecourse.
One lane has been closed while the incident is dealt with and traffic is moving slowly.

Police incident closes part of the A38 in Derby
Commuters heading in to Burton from Derby this morning are warned that part of the A38 is closed due to a “police incident”.
The southbound carriageway of the A38 at Ripley, in Derbyshire, is closed between the A610/B6441 Hartshay Hill and Coxbench Road due to the incident. This has caused congestion on the A38 to A61 Derby Road/B6179 Derby Road and there is queuing traffic in the area. The road has been closed since 11.30pm yesterday and this is affecting traffic between Alfreton and Derby.
