Air ambulance crews are landing in Burton following a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian is a woman and the incident happened at the junction of Watson Street and Branston Road.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed it had been called out to the incident after receiving a report of a collision at 11.12am today, Friday, July 7.

Midlands Air Ambulance, from Tatenhill, is on the scene. A land ambulance and a paramedic officer have also been called out.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called out to a road traffic collision at 11.12am at the junction of Watson Street and Branston Road, in Burton. We received a call that the incident involved a car and a pedestrian."

It is not yet clear what injuries have been suffered by the pedestrian or the driver of the car.
