After a miserable few days the sun is back and is set to stay throughout the majority of today on Sunday, August 6.
It may have been a relatively cool start this morning but forecasters predict temperatures will rise to 18C as we progress into the afternoon.
At around 2pm the sun will disappear behind the clouds and outbreaks of showers and breezy winds will appear across the north of the region this evening.
Tonight the cloud and rain may become heavy at times but will eventually move southeast into northern parts of the region overnight.
Tomorrow on Monday, August 7, the clouds will continue to give outbreaks of showery rain and move slowly southeast during the morning.
The weather will turn drier and brighter from the northwest into the afternoon, feeling breezy and rather cool.
