Here in Burton we are lucky enough to have some wonderful people in our community. Staff at the Burton Mail were delighted to hear about the selfless acts of Grace-Mae, an eight-year-old girl from Stapenhill who cut 18 inches off her hair and donated it to the Little Princess Trust.

Grace-Mae committed to the charity after seeing another girl contributed her own hair to the trust on Facebook.

The Little Princess Trust is dedicated to providing free real hair wigs to children who have lost their own hair to cancer.

Last year, the trust were able to raise enough funds to make more than 1,000 wigs for children suffering with cancer in the UK.

We support such a wonderful cause and applaud Grace-Mae for her compassion.
