A 42-year-old man who caused a head-on smash after overtaking a parked car in Burton has been fined.
Qazi Mahmood had been driving along Dallow Street, in the town, before he crashed into an oncoming vehicle.
Mahmood appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre to stand trial after denying driving without due care and attention but was found guilty.
The court heard Mahmood had been driving a Nissan Almera in the street at 4.45pm on September 9, last year.
As the defendant was travelling along Dallow Street he drove onto the opposite side of the road to overtake a parked car and crashed into a Ford Focus travelling in the opposite direction. As a result of the accident both vehicles were damaged.
Mahmood, of Ravenshouse Road, Derby, has been fined £138 and ordered to pay £400 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with three points.
