If you missed out on Glastonbury then Burtonfest is the place to be for a fraction of the price but you only have a week to book your tickets as the full line-up is announced for the first time.

The town we all know and love is set to be the venue for more than 40 acts to get your feet moving and your hips swinging!

On Saturday, July 22, Burton’s National Brewery Centre, in Horninglow Street, will be hosting BurtonFest 2017 for the first time in association with its founder, Adam Cornes.

Confirmed headline acts include: Union J, (known for their top 10 pop hits You Got It All, Carry You and Beautiful Life; X Factor 2016 Winner Matt Terry who collaborated on the number one hit Bridge Over Troubled Water as part of Artists for Grenfell, raising money for the tower tragedy; and Roman Kemp, presenter of Capital FM and Trending live! on 4music, who will be performing an hour DJ set on the main stage.

Event organiser Adam Cornes said: “I have been hosting events showcasing the next generation of singers and bands all over the UK for the last four years. As a resident of Burton I now want to focus on local artists as well as bringing other talented and headline performers to the town. BurtonFest is an exciting project which will hopefully grow each year and become an amazing annual event.”

As well as the star studded headliners, Burtonfest has a clear aim of promoting talent from around the local area, with many local bands from the East Midlands appearing and more to be announced soon.

In addition to the many local acts at the festival, Kirby Lauryen, a singer-songwriter from Mississippi, who is the pen behind hits such as “FourFiveSeconds” by Rhianna, Kanye West and Paul McCartney and “Die with you” by Beyoncé will be bringing her artistic talents to the Burton stage.
