A 30-year-old man who went on a shoplifting spree across Burton has been fined. Timothy Clarke appeared at Cannock Crown Court where he admitted five charges of shoplifting committed in Burton all on the same day on July 11, last year.
He admitted stealing two bottles of wine, five cans of cider and a bottle of stain remover worth £14.80 from Sainsbury’s.
He also pleaded guilty to stealing two cans of gin and tonic worth £2 from Marks and Spencer; and stealing two packets of paracetamol worth 90p from Boots.
He also admitted stealing a pack of food bags and a Heinz Beanz Slice, worth £3.56 from Home Bargains; and two dog chew packs worth £3.15 beloinging to Wilkos.
Clarke, of Eggerton Street, Cardiff, has been fined £40 and was ordered to pay £135 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
