A missing boy from Burton who disappeared last week has been found "safe and well".
Teenager George Woodcock was reported missing last Thursday, July 27, and has been last seen in Tamworth.
This led to a widescale appeal online with a picture of the teenager from Staffordshire Police shared hundreds of times in a bid to find the 13-year-old and get him home safely to his worried family.
A spokesman for the police today issued a statement thanking those who helped with the search for missing George, confirming that he has been found. It said: "George Woodcock, aged 13, missing from Burton since last Thursday, has been found safe and well.
"Thank you for your support in publicising this appeal."
