A man has appeared in court charged with driving without insurance. He was among the latest people to have their cases dealt with at South Derbyshire Magistrates' Court for driving with no insurance as the latest criminals are fined:

Insurance

A man has been caught without insurance. It was proved via the single justice procedure that Ryan Bailey, 25, of Hamble Way, Hilton, drove a Citroen in Avon Way, Hilton, on December 23, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance.
He has been fined £660 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for six months.

Breath charge

A woman admitted a driving charge. Fay Howell, 31, of Church Hill, Weeford, Lichfield, admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath in Burton on June 21.
She has been fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge. She has been banned from driving for 12 months.

Racial

A woman has admitted an harassment charge. Anne-Marie Morgan, 23, of Hill Street, Burton, admitted causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress using abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour towards a person in Burton on March 3.
She has been fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Drink

A woman has admitted drink-driving. Anna Borecka, of Wheatbridge Close, Burton, admitted driving a Citroen in Horninglow Road, Burton, on March 5, with 170 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrammes.
She was given a 12-week jail sentence which was suspended for 12 months because it was a high reading and caused an accident by driving on the wrong side of the road. She has been ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge. She has been banned from driving for 22 months.
