A man has been jailed after he was found guilty of assaulting another man in Burton as the latest criminals appear at Cannock Magistrates' Court:

Assault

A man has been found guilty of assault. Nathan Stewart, 25, of no fixed address, has been found guilty of assaulting a man in Burton on June 6. He has been jailed for 20 weeks due to the fact it was a serious assault, a domestic weapon was used and he breached a suspended sentence, magistrates decided. He was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge

Assault

A man has admitted assault. Jason Redfern, 33, of no fixed address, admitted assaulting a man in Burton on May 30. He has been fined £90 with £105 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Insurance

A man has admitted driving without insurance. Adam Wheeldon, 29, of Charrington Way, Burton, admitted via the single justice procedure to driving a Volkswagen Golf in Uxbridge Street, Burton, on November 3, without insurance. He has been fined £276, and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. He has been banned from driving for six months due to repeat offending.

Insurance

A man has admitted driving without insurance. Thomas Adams, 29, of Burton Road, Midway, admitted using an Audi A5 without insurance in Caroline Court, Burton, on January 22. He has been fined £530 and ordered to pay £85 curt costs and a £53 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with seven points. He escaped being disqualified due to the number of points on his licence through the totting system because of the detrimental effect it would have on his job and family.
