Criminals Ryan Taylor, Clint Sharratt and Thomas Stansby are the latest criminals to appear at Cannock Magistrates' Court.

Bicycle

A man has admitted stealing a moped. Ryan Taylor, 22, of Blakeholme Court, Burton, admitted stealing a £2,100 moped from a man in Burton on June 11. He has been jailed for 12 weeks because he has similar convictions and he was also recently released from prison. He was ordered to pay £500 compensation, and a £115 victim surcharge.

Shoplifter

A man has admitted stealing cleaning products. Clint Sharratt, 35, of The Lawns, Rolleston, admitted stealing cleaning products worth £49.15 from Sainsbury’s Local, Burton, on May 21. He also admitted possession of a Stanley knife blade attached to a plastic cigarette lighter, in Burton, on June 14. He has been jailed for 35 weeks due to previous convictions and offending continuing during a suspended sentence order. He was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Assault

A man has admitted assault. Ramon Duke, 52, of Station Road, Melbourne, admitted assaulting a woman in Burton on February 22. He has been fined £48 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Damage

A man has admitted criminal damage. Thomas Stansby, 24, of Sycamore Road, Stapenhill, admitted assaulting a woman in Burton on May 29. He has admitted damaging a pane of glass belonging to the victim and breaching a non-molestation order. He has been jailed for 18 weeks because he targeted the victim, broke into her home, and it was a repeated assault on a vulnerable victim and it was the second breach of a non-molestation order. The victim was given a two-year restraining order against the defendant, who was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Driving

A man has admitted driving through a red light. Zia Mehmood, 37, of Edward Street, Burton, admitted driving a Toyota Avensis through a red light in Borough Road, Burton, on July 30. He has been fined £70 and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with three points.
