A string of speeders, are among the latest cases from Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court:

Exceeding the speed limit

Angus Bennion, 50, of High Street, Packington, admitted exceeding the 30mph speed limit by driving at 37mph on Burton Road, Woodville, on February 15. He was fined £284 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

Driving without insurance

Karl Cox, 26, of Belvoir Crescent, Newhall, drove without insurance in Springfield Road, Swadlincote, on March 4.
He has been fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.

Caught speeding

A woman has been caught speeding. Joanne Feasey, 53, of Coton Park, Linton, exceeded the 30mph speed limit by driving at 36mph on Hillside Road, Linton, on February 26. She has been fined £220 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with three points.

Man admits speeding

Martin Knight, 51, of Broadlands, Stretton, admitted exceeding the 30mph speed limit by driving at 36mph on Burton Road, Midway, on February 16. He was fined £145 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

Driving a vehicle over the speed limit

Gary Moore, 56, of Anderby Drive, Grimsby, admitted exceeding the 30mph speed limit by driving at 38mph on Burton Road, Midway, on February 15. He has been fined £146 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.
