One of Burton’s most notorious potholes has finally been filled in after months of fury from motorists.

The Swan junction’s Stapenhill Road link to Burton Bridge has been now been repaired by council contractors as refurbishment is taking place all over the town in time for the St Peter’s Bridge closure.

The junction of Stapenhill Road, Ashby Road, Bridge Street and Newton Road is set to become the main entrance into Burton following the controversial three-month closure of the bridge for repair.

Staffordshire County Council are quickly trying to get road repairs done, over night in order to get all roads to a suitable standard before St Peter's Bridge closes for the 3 months.
