A woman threatened to kill another woman in prison, Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court heard. She has been jailed for eight weeks concurrent to her current seven year sentence and was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

Speeding driver

A man was caught speeding. The court heard Tremayne McKoy, 28, of Malvern Street, Stapenhill, drove a Vauxhall Antara in Burton Road, Midway, on March 13, exceeding the 30mph speed limit by driving at 41mph.
He has been fined £440 with £85 court costs and a £44 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with three points.

Threatened to kill

Coleen Rose, 36, of HMP Foston prison, admitted threatening to kill another woman at Foston Hall prison. She also admitted breaching a restraining order by sending a letter to a woman between June 10 and August 12.
She has been jailed for eight weeks concurrent to her current seven year sentence. She was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

Without insurance

A man was caught using a vehicle with no insurance. Stephan Shephard, 21, of Stoneydale Close, Newhall, used a vehicle in Darklands Road, Swadlincote, on March 3, otherwise in accordance with a licence and without insurance. He has been fined £660 with £85 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with six points.

Weight limit breach

A man has admitted driving his vehicle over the weight limit. Maurice Rigby, 62, of Blurton Road, Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent, admitted driving a large goods vehicle on Swarkestone Causeway when it exceeded the maximum permitted gross weight, on March 22. He has been fined £148 and ordered to pay £30 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.
