Young adults in Burton have joined forces with a sexual abuse charity in Burton to hold a fund-raising football tournament.

Young people from the National Citizen Service (NCS) are hoping to support SARAC (domestic violence, sexual abuse and rape advice help centre) based in Burton by launching a charity football tournament and need players.

NCS teaches young people, aged between 15 and 17 years old, the skills employers say they are increasingly looking for in candidates: confidence, teamwork and leadership, and is delivered by The EFL Trust.

The teenagers are hoping to raise money and awareness of sexual abuse.

The tournament will run from 3.30pm to 6pm on Wednesday, July 19, at Blessed Robert Sutton Catholic Sports College, in Bluestone Lane, Stapenhill.

Admission costs £3 per person or £60 for a team. Those hoping to take part can turn up on the day or register with SARAC by calling 01283 535110.
