A woman who chased a male victim from their home with a kitchen knife has appeared in court. She has appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court. Here are some of the latest cases to be heard at the court:

Knife case

Adele Wilson, 32, of Horninglow Road, Burton, was found guilty of assaulting the man in Burton on March 3 and possession of a kitchen knife. She also admitted damaging a Volvo belonging to the same man. She also pleaded guilty to sending a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
She has been jailed for 18 weeks because the court heard that not only did she assault the man in front of children, but she also chased him out of her garden with a kitchen knife intending to harm him, damaging his property so that he knew she was serious. She was also made the subject of a one-year restraining order. She was ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

Threats

A man has admitted using threatening words or behaviour. Patrick Hodgkinson, 24, of Gordon Street, Burton, admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour which was racially aggravated, in Burton on May 3. She also admitted failing to attend court on June 12.
She has been fined £350 with £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Breach case

A man has admitted breaching a restraining order. Richard Wilkins, 37, of Ensor Close, Swadlincote, indicated a plea of guilty to breaching a restraining order by driving into Church Street, Swadlincote, on June 21. He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence order.
He has been jailed for 30 weeks and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge.

Shoplifter

A man has admitted shoplifting. Nicholas Goring, 37, of Lonsdale Road, Branston, admitted stealing eight packs of steak worth £45 from Lidl, Burton, on April 29.
He has been made the subject of a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay £45 compensation.

Cannabis

A man has admitted a drugs charge. Dexter Dove, 21, of Hopley Road, Anslow, indicated a plea of guilty to being concern in the supply of 1.72 grams of cannabis to unknown people in Burton on December 31. He also indicated a plea of guilty to possession of the cannabis.
He has been fined £283 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £35 victim surcharge.

Speeder fined

A man has admitted speeding. Richard Tomlinson, 31, of Millers Green, Wirksworth, admitted driving a Honda on the A511 Burton Road, Woodville, on September 16, at 50mph, exceeding the 30mph speed limit.
He has been fined £337 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £33 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with five points.

Vodka theft

A man has admitted stealing vodka. Leon Tilt, 31, of Midland Road, Swadlincote, admitted stealing two bottles of vodka worth £28.38, from Aldi, Swadlincote, on May 10. He also admitted driving a Mercedes at Bridge Garage, Swadlincote, on May 12, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance. He also admitted stealing cheese worth £15 from Sainsbury’s, Newhall, on June 15.
He has been jailed for 32 weeks due to his appalling record, magistrates decided. They also heard he committed offences while on bail and was subject to post-sentence supervision order at the time too. He was ordered to pay compensation of £43.38 and a £115 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for 12 months.
