Community leaders are looking to stave off the risk of stroke and heart disease with free blood pressure checks.
High blood pressure is often referred to as the "silent killer" as it has no symptoms. Staff from East Staffordshire's two main leisure centres will be offering the checks to help stave off the health problems.
Uttoxeter residents are invited to "know their numbers" at two sessions at the town's leisure centre, in Oldfields Road. They will take place on Monday, September 18 and Wednesday, September 20, between noon and 3pm.
Workers from Burton's Meadowside Leisure Centre, in High Street, will be on hand at Coopers Square shopping centre on Tuesday, September 19 from 10am to noon to carry out the checks.
Advice will also be provided by the fitness experts as to how blood pressure can be kept at a safe level.
