Those suffering from cancer, and their relatives, can get free advice and support when a charity’s touring service visits Burton and Uttoxeter.

The Macmillan Cancer Support’s mobile service will visit Uttoxeter Tesco, in Town Meadows Way, on Wednesday, July 19 from 9am to 3pm.

The following day, the team will be on hand in Burton to offer advice on everything from the financial challenges of cancer to advice on how to cope with the disease. They will visit the The Octagon shopping centre from 9am to 3pm.

Support worker Julie Banks said: “It’s really important that people living with cancer are able to access the financial advice and support they are entitled to, so they can focus on what’s most important – their health.

“We can help signpost people to Macmillan benefits advisers who can provide free, confidential advice. We’re here to answer any questions about cancer.

“Whether you want to know what symptoms to look out for, need advice about managing the side effects of your treatment, or want to find local support for carers, come along and see us.”
