A Derbyshire-based building contractor is looking for a keen graduate to join the team as a quantity surveyor.

The company has been trading for more than 30 years and the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the senior quantity surveyor, both in an office and on various sites.

Duties of the full-time position include providing support to the senior quantity surveyor, reporting to senior managers and completing projects within the alloted time and budget.

The job will see the successful candidate managing all costs relating to building project, from the initial calculations to the final figures. A quantity surveyor will also be tasked with minimising the costs of a project, while still maintaining the required standards.

The permanent position pays a salary of £26,000 a year, as well as a car allowance to put towards transport costs.
