An archery club in North West Leicestershire left devastated after arsonists destroyed £6,000 of equipment is seeing donations flood in.
More than £1,500 has been raised for Ivanhoe Archery Club, in Ashby, after a fire was started overnight inside one of its storage containers.
The club's chairman Stephen Colledge said he was devastated by the fire inside one of two storage containers at Ivanhoe College, in North Street.
Now a Crowdfunding donation page has raised more than £1,500 by at least 37 supporters.
The online donation page was originally set up by the club to update its equipment. However, the money will now go to replace all that was lost.
A statement from the club on the donation page said: "Following the theft and fire discovered this morning our appeal has now urgently changed from updating equipment to replacing equipment.
"We have also lost our container and would appreciate any help in that regard from local companies that may have a replacement available. We aren't proud and would be happy to repaint it/support advertising for the donating company."
Firefighters from Ashby were called out at 8.28am, Tuesday, August 15. The club has 76 members ranging in ages from eight to 75. Two weekends ago it hosted the county outdoor championship at the school.
