A person has collided with a train between Nottingham and Derby, it has been reported.
The incident, near Attenborough, in Nottinghamshire, was reported by traffic information website Inrix at 9:46am.
All CrossCountry trains have been cancelled between Nottingham and Derby stations and there are some delays and cancellations on East Midlands Trains.
Emergency services have arrived at the scene and are dealing with the incident.
It is not yet known if there are any fatalities.

Elsewhere in traffic and travel news, drivers are reminded that road works causing the closure of a Burton slip road finishes today.
The exit slip road on the A38 northbound at A5121 Clay Mills had been previously closed between 10pm and 6am earlier this week.
Work is due to finish today and the exit slip road will open as normal.
