Motorists are experiencing delays in the area around a busy roundabout linking the A50 with a major route through East Staffordshire and the Derbyshire Dales.

At around 11.15am this morning, Friday, July 7, two cars collided on the roundabout linking the dual carriageway and the A515 in Sudbury.

No-one sustained any significant injuries when the Ford C-Max and BMW collided, a Derbyshire Police spokesman said.

The road was partially blocked while a recovery truck was driven to the scene and the cars moved to the side of the highway.

Police left the scene of the accident at around 1.30pm and restrictions were lifted.

However, travel reports have revealed traffic is still moving slowly in the area surrounding the roundabout on the A515 and A50.
