A digger appears to have crashed into the side of a village supermarket.
Motorists experienced delays this morning, Wednesday, August 2, on the A515 northbound in Kings Bromley as the road was partially blocked due to a "police incident".
Traffic measures were in place between the A513 Rugeley Road and the A513 Alrewas Road and Manor Road due to the incident this morning, Wednesday, August 2, according to traffic and travel website Inrix.
Now Burton Mail reader Cruffill Duffill has sent in pictures from the scene showing a digger smashed into the side of the Co-op, with police tape around the scene. There appears to be extensive damage to the store, with two large windows smashed with the frames and debris lying on the pavement.
Traffic has now returned to normal in the area and police have reportedly left the scene.
