A man has admitted recording a person committing a sexual act in a Swadlincote supermarket, Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court heard.

Without consent

Josh Marshall, 27, of Hope Way, Church Gresley, indicated a plea of guilty to recording a person doing a private act for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification and without their consent in Sainsbury's, Swadlincote, on February 11. He has been made the subject of a two-year community order with 80 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge. He is required to register with the police in accordance with the sexual offences act.

Possession of drugs

A man has admitted drug possession. James Jollands, 31, of Davenport Way, Woodville, indicated a plea of guilty to possession of a small quantity of heroin in Princess Close, Woodville, on March 28.
He has been made the subject of a 12 month conditional discharge. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

Without insurance

Carl Walker, 41, of Goodman Street, Burton, admitted using a Volkswagen Bora in Station Street, Burton, without insurance, on December 26. He was fined £276 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge.

Banned from driving

A man has admitted driving while banned. Jacob Deas, 19, of Thames Way, Hilton, admitted driving a Vauxhall Corsa in Egginton Road, Hilton, on April 20, while banned from driving. He also admitted damaging garden fencing worth £200 at an address in Hilton on April 20. He also admitted failing to attend court on September 5.
He has been made the subject of an eight week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to complete 40 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £85 court costs and £200 compensation.

Speeding on the road

A woman was caught speeding. Patricia Elliott-Martin, 50, of Galley Hill Road, Swanscombe, Kent, exceeded the 30mph speed limit by driving at 41mph in Hillside Road, Linton, on February 26. She has been fined £440 with £85 court costs and a £44 victim surcharge. Her licence was endorsed with five points.

Uninsured vehicle

Magistrates heard that Marius Iordan, 28, of Burton Road, Midway, drove an Audi in Meadow Lane, Newhall, without insurance. He was fined £660 with £85 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with six points.
