A biker was taken to hospital after coming off his motorbike in South Derbyshire. Derbyshire police said a man came off his motorbike in Findern Lane, Willington, at around 5.50pm yesterday, Tuesday, August 29.

An air ambulance attended the scene, but the man was taken to hospital by land ambulance, and officers have said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Findern Lane was closed between Willington and Findern in both directions at the B5008 Canal Bridge while the emergency services helped the man. It was reopened just after 9.30pm according to traffic information company Inrix.

Reader Rob Fisher, of Derby, captured the emergency services at the scene just before 7pm.
