Parents have been asked to ensure they know where their children are late at night after police were called to deal with anti-social behaviour in Uttoxeter.

Staffordshire Police received a call from homeowners living near the Original Factory Shop, in Trinity Square, Uttoxeter, who had been disturbed, in the early hours of Thursday morning, July 20.

Youngsters were keeping the residents awake with loud chatter and by kicking a ball up against the wall near the large Uttoxeter store, said police.

Officers attended the area and the youngsters moved on, a police spokesman said.

Police Community Support Officer Isobel Alkins said: "There has been an incident of anti-social behaviour near the Original Factory Shop at approximately 1am this morning.

"If you have children, please ensure you know their whereabouts."
