An image has been released of people police would like to speak to after a quad bike was stolen in South Derbyshire.

Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood team in South Derbyshire have issued the image after the bike was stolen from a farm in Catton Road, Walton. The theft happened at around 2am on Monday, July 10; the chain securing the quad bike was cut.

The image released by the police shows people police want to speak to in connection with the theft apparently pushing the bike out of the farmyard.

PCSO Dave McMillan from the Safer Neighbourhood team, said: “I realise that the image does not give a clear view of those involved, however one of them appears to be wearing a dark-coloured top with a fluorescent patch on the right shoulder.”

The stolen quad bike was a Red Honda TRX 500FE. The team would also like to hear from anyone who may have been offered this type of machine for sale.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call PCSO McMillan on 101 quoting incident number 17000291973. Alternatively they can send him a message online by visiting the Contact Us section of Derbyshire Police website at www.derbyshire.police.uk
