Hairdresser, Jacqui Williams, is hosting a Jigsaw Day in August for children with autism and special needs at her salon in Ashby.

She will be joined by her team at Tip Top Hair Design in Staunton Harold to support children with difficulties and give them a haircut in a situation that they are comfortable in.

We caught up with Jacqui to find out a little more about her.

Favourite film or TV series? Road House.

Favourite takeaway? Indian.

Tell us one thing no-one knows about you? I worry about everyone.

What’s your ultimate ambition in life? To be able to provide a good life for my family.

Pet hates? Cleaning my car out.

What’s your favourite song? It’s My Life by Bon Jovi.

Marmite? Love it or hate it? Hate it.

What’s your worst habit? Not being able to sleep.

What was your first car? A Mini Cooper I shared with my dad and my twin.

If you could make a law, what would it be? I would pass a law where abandoned and disused buildings can be furnished so that homeless people can have a place to stay.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? I would go to Canada. I would love to see it and work on a ranch.

Who would you invite to a dinner party - dead or alive? It would have to be the Queen and Prince Philip. I’d love to chat openly with them.

What would you do if you won the lottery? I would keep doing what I’m doing now with the salon. I would also buy a farm as that’s a family dream. I’d love to help my family out and do something worthwhile with it – maybe that would help me sleep better!
